DEADLINE: NOVEMBER 30, 2007

We are considering proposals for sessions organized around a theme, special panels, and/or individual papers. Sessions are scheduled in 1½ hour slots, ideally with four papers or speakers per standard session.

We welcome any topics pertaining to European Literature and Culture (excluding Germany and the UK), but are especially interested in topics on the following subjects:

- Comics (in Europe except for Germany and the UK, also seeking to organize a session on Literature and the French bande dessinée)

- Rock, pop and Rap music and rock music in Europe (except Germany and the UK) – Also seeking to organize a session on European rap.

- Representation of America and the Iraqi War in the European media (except Germany and the UK)

- Reality TV in Europe (except for Germany and the UK)

- Contemporary European Cinema (except Germany and the UK)
