Gender and Media Studies

Call for Papers

The "Gender and Media Studies" Area Chair of the Popular Culture
Association seeks paper proposals for the 2008 National Conference of
the Popular Culture Association and American Culture Association to be
held at the San Francisco Marriott Hotel in San Francisco, California
March 19-22, 2008.

Submissions related to any issues of gender and media are welcomed and
encouraged by the Area Chair.  Topics can include but are not limited to issues of gender in television, film music, music videos, and advertising.  Individual presentations should be no more than 15 minutes
in length.

Abstracts of no more than 250 words should be submitted to the Area
Chair.  Submissions  should include the individual's name, nstitutional
affiliation, mail and email address and a contact telephone number. 

Deadline for submissions is November 30, 2007.
