CALL FOR PAPERS
The Gender Studies Area of the Popular Culture Association welcome papers, presentations, panels, conversations, roundtables, open forums etc. that address issues of Gender in Popular Culture.

Proposals may come from individual faculty, graduate students/ professionals or panels of three to four faculty, graduate students and/or professionals and may be addressed from any appropriate disciplinary perspective.  Suggested topics include (but are not limited to):

1. Feminist Analysis of Film, Television, Technology, Art, Fiction etc.
2. Transgendered Issues and Concerns
3. Masculinity/Femininity in Popular Culture
4. Curriculum and/or pedagogy  [Gender, Transgender, Gay and Lesbian Concerns]

Deadline for proposals is November 30, 2008.  Please send an abstract in Microsoft Word format not exceeding 250 words.  Include your name, affiliation, mailing address, email address and telephone number.
