CALL FOR PAPERS
Papers having to do with any aspect of military or civilian experiences during any armed conflict or the various representations of those experiences are welcomed. Note that this area has been expanded to include armed conflicts, U.S. or international, up to and including World War II.
Papers discussing the representation of war are especially welcomed. Papers may address fiction, historical narrative, memoirs, film, theater, comics, computer gaming, pedagogy, or any other area of popular culture. Papers may also consider the theoretical aspects of representation and how they expand or limit the possibilities of representing the wartime experience. Additionally, papers addressing any aspect of the impact of armed conflict on participants or nonparticipants will be welcomed.
