CALL FOR PAPERS
Presentations related to sports and teams in Chicago (the Cubs, White Sox, Bears, Bulls, Blackhawks, Fire, Sky, etc.)and vicinity (e.g., the Rockford IceHogs, Kane Country Cougars, Notre Dame Fighting Irish) are especially invited. Proposals about Chicago players (e.g., Ernie Banks, Michael Jordan, Dick Butkus, Jay Berwanger), Chicago stadia (e.g., Wrigley Field, Comiskey Park, Soldier Field), and Illinois leagues and conferences (e.g., Illinois-Indiana-Iowa League and the Big Ten) are also encouraged.
Topics on all areas of sports (history, literature, ethics, sociology, current issues, etc.) are welcomed.
Presentations should be completed within twenty minutes and should stimulate audience questions and discussion. Presentations utilizing various media are especially welcomed.
Presentation at the conference requires current membership in the PCA or the ACA.
All proposals and paper submissions should be sent electronically through the PCA Database (http://ncp.pcaaca.org).
If your paper is accepted, you will receive an acceptance letter, including information related to membership, registration, and hotel accommodations.
