Generation X is the demographic group of Americans born from 1965-1980. This is a unique generation on many levels with provocative experiences and insights.

We are considering proposals for sessions organized around a theme, special panels, and/or individual papers.  Sessions are scheduled in 1½ hour slots, typically with four papers or speakers per standard session.  Presentations should not exceed 15 minutes. Working professionals, scholars, educators, and graduate students are all encouraged to submit.

Possible themes for papers/panels include but are not restricted to:

•           Generation X cultural production/consumption: literature, film, music, etc.

•           Generation X identity and realities (then and now)

•           Generation X memories and nostalgia

•           Generation X employment/retirement issues

•           Generation X politics, race and gender

•           Generation X and technology

Inquiries about possible papers or proposals for round table sessions or full panels are also welcomed and encouraged.

Interested individuals are asked to submit an abstract of no more than 250 words (including presentation title) and complete contact information (name, institutional affiliation, mail and e-mail addresses, and contact telephone number) to http://conference.pcaaca.org.
