Latin American Literature, Film, and Culture

Primary tabs

As a PCA/ACA conference area, Latin American Literature, Film, & Culture intends to become a forum that creatively explores perspectives as well as connections between all forms of cultural expressions in the region, including, but not limited to, the arts, film, literature, music, popular religious manifestations, social movements, travel, and TV, among others.

Presenters are encouraged to employ a variety of disciplinary approaches that examine production, history, identities, representations, reception, and consumption, particularly as streaming services and other platforms (podcasts and social media) increase the interest, presence and popularity of Latin American cultural manifestations.

Submission requirements

Please submit abstracts or proposals of 250 words through the PCA web portal along with a 50-word bio and contact information.

Individuals must be current, paid members to submit a proposal to the conference.

Submissions from undergraduate students are not accepted at this time, but we are considering offering this possibility in the future. If you have any ideas, contact the area chair.

For inquiries or questions, please contact Julio Quintero (jquintero1@udayton.edu), area chair.
