wrote on the Subject Areas: Ecology & Culture wall: I just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself to other members of this group. I am the creator of the Pulp Studies area of the PCA and served as its chair for about the first five years of its operation. My primary interest, however, is the connection between nature and popular culture, especially as it relates to speculative fiction and climate change. I am currently on sabbatical for a research project for a book on speculative climate fiction from 1945 to the present. I would be very interested on connecting with like-minded individuals with similar interests.

wrote on the Subject Areas: Ecology & Culture wall: Greetings! Just one week before we are all in Chicago for this year's PCA gathering. This will be my first year chairing the Ecology & Culture area, so please share your experience, interests and suggestions on what kinds of issues, ideas and directions you would like to see us explore in this E&C area at this and future conferences. (I see there is a dedicated group Forum we can use for E&C discussions). Looking forward to seeing and meeting you in Chicago! - Jeffrey
