Call For Papers

 

The Advertising Area of PCA is soliciting and considering proposals for sessions organized around a theme, special panels, and/or, as always, individual papers.  Sessions are scheduled in 1½ hour slots, typically with four papers or speakers per standard session.  Presentations should not exceed 15 minutes.

 

The division is eager to receive proposals concerning the impact of advertising on society, politics, and even the media themselves. Papers are also welcome on topics such as creative monetizing of social media, declining advertising revenues in traditional media, the seamless fusion of social media into an overall marketing strategy, and the explosive growth of AI, both as a benefit in advertising and weaponized. Because powerful algorithms now permit intrusion, issues of privacy and advertising are also salient as are any proposals where culture and advertising intersect.

 

Acceptable submissions include descriptive abstracts meeting length requirements within the submission tab or full papers.

  • Travel Grant Applications Due - Dec. 15, 2025
  • Early Bird Registration Ends for Presenters - Dec. 31, 2025
  • Regular Registration Begins for Presenters - Jan. 1, 2026 
  • Travel Grant Decisions / Notifications - Jan. 31, 2026
  • Regular Registration Ends for Presenters - Jan. 31, 2026
  • Late Registration Starts for Presenters - Feb. 1, 2026
  • Preliminary Program draft available - Feb. 6, 2026

 

Those Presenters Not Registered by Feb. 15 Will be Dropped from the Program
