Call For Papers
ANNUAL MEETING OF THE POPULAR CULTURE ASSOCIATION
(Atlanta, April 8 th -11th, 2026)
Latin Americans and Latinos: Literature, Film, and Cultural Identities
Proposals are welcome as they relate to Latin American and Latino literature, film, and cultural identities. Papers may focus on literary, cinematographic, theatrical, media, sociological, or other popular culture production and frameworks within Latin American and Latinx contexts in the U.S. or abroad. All disciplines and theoretical approaches considered. Interdisciplinary perspectives are encouraged. Papers may be presented in English or Spanish. Three- or four-person panel proposals are strongly encouraged. Each participant will have approximately 20 minutes for their presentation.
Please submit an abstract of no more than 150 words. Also include full contact details and a brief biographical note with the abstract.
