Call For Proposals

 

Undergraduate students are invited to submit a proposal for presentation at the 2026 Popular Culture Association Annual Conference. Presentation proposals should consist of a 250-to-300 word abstract or summary of your presentation topic which can include any topic as long as it covers some aspect of popular culture, American culture, or international culture.

 

Undergraduates often enjoy presenting in this area rather than a specific subject area because they are presenting with fellow students, and it can be less stressful, particularly for first-time presenters. The PCA is committed to mentoring students as they join our organization, and we will do everything we can to help you have a positive experience. We encourage you to join our Student Group as well, in advance of the conference.

 

In submitting your proposal, you may include the name and the email address of the faculty advisor sponsoring your proposal that may be attending the conference with you. (You can add this information to your abstract if there are no prompts for entering it anywhere else.) Before submitting that information, please be sure that your faculty advisor has read and agreed to the instructions below for faculty advisors.

• Regular Registration Begins for Presenters - Jan. 1, 2026 
• Travel Grant Decisions / Notifications - Jan. 31, 2026
• Regular Registration Ends for Presenters - Jan. 31, 2026
• Late Registration Starts for Presenters - Feb. 1, 2026
• Preliminary Program draft available - Feb. 6, 2026

Those Presenters Not Registered by Feb. 15 Will be Dropped from the Program
