Call for Proposals: Papers, Panels, Special Sessions (roundtables, screenings, etc.)
The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, & Queer Studies area is home to emerging and established scholars interested in subjects at the intersection of Queer Studies and Popular Culture, examined using a variety of approaches.

We are considering proposals for sessions organized around a theme, special panels, and individual papers. Sessions are scheduled in 1½ hour slots, typically with four papers
or speakers per standard session. Presentations should not exceed 15 minutes. As always, proposals addressing any topic at the intersection of culture and queerness are welcome.
This year, we are especially eager to receive proposals concerning queer representation in media and the press as well as the role of LGBTQ+ people in the 2024 U.S. elections.

To submit your panel or presentation, go to http://conference.pcaaca.org and follow the instructions for creating an account and making your submission. ALL submissions must
be made through the conference submission site. For individual papers, please submit a title and 100-word abstract. For themed paper sessions, presenters must enter their own presentations and the panel chair
should contact Professor Drushel to assemble them into a panel. You should also contact Professor Drushel for help in submitting roundtable discussions.
Membership Policy: You must be a member of PCA in order to submit a proposal. In order to submit a conference proposal, submitter’s membership must be current
for the 2024-25 year. Membership fees may be paid prior to or at the time a proposal is submitted.
Refund Policy: Membership fees are not refundable. Requests for refund of conference registration must be submitted in writing.
