Call for Papers
For the National Popular Culture Conference in Atlanta in 2026.
Anyone may present in this area who has an interest in musicals. This area has to do with all aspects of all musicals. Past presentations have been on stage and film musicals like GUYS AND DOLLS and WEST SIDE STORY, operettas, and even on musicals done solely for the Internet. Sample titles have been “It Must Be Kismet: Adapting Baghdad to Timbuktu” and “A Personal Catastrophe Expressed Lyrically: The Blues of SHUFFLE ALONG.”
We welcome submissions from graduate and undergraduate students. Musical theater devotees wishing to present at the Conference should submit an abstract of at least 200 words.
