Welcome to the Sea Literature, History, and Culture community! We’re so happy you’re here and we want you take full advantage of the opportunities our new platform provides. Call for Proposals: Sessions, Panels, Papers

 

 

Come join a vivid and diverse community of scholars and professionals to discuss about the sea and the numerous challenges related to water with a popular culture perspective!

 

 

We are considering proposals for individual papers, thematic sessions/special panels, or roundtables. Sessions are scheduled in 1½ hour slots, typically with four papers or speakers per session. Scholars, graduate students, and working professionals are all encouraged to submit. Proposals may be related to fresh-water or sea-water topics, such as (but not restricted to):

 

·       Literature, comics, art, music, television & movies

·       Ecology, conservation & climate changes

·       History, politics, war & peace

·       Culture & anthropology

·       Folklore, mythology, legends & hoaxes

·       Ships, boats, & other water craft

·       Aquatic life

·       Recreation, travel, tourism & festival

 

 

Interested individuals are asked to submit an abstract of no more than 250 words (including presentation title) to http://conference.pcaaca.org  by November 30, 2025. All presenters must be paid, current members of the PCA and must register for the conference.

Those Presenters Not Registered by Feb. 15 Will be Dropped from the Program
